Clarification of vinegar

Purpose

The aim of microfiltration is to replace all traditional clarification processes (fining, decanting, kieselguhr filtration, plate filters and polymer membranes) in the treatment of raw vinegar.

Solution

During treatment, the product is split into two streams:

  • a filtrate free from suspended solids
  • a concentrate containing approximately 95% of suspended solids
