Clarification of concentrates
Purpose
The aim of microfiltration is to recover the maximum amount of wine from the concentrates produced by crossflow filtration, to increase total yield. The crossflow filtration system uses Inside Céram™ microfiltration ceramic membranes.
Solution
During treatment, the product is split into two phases:
- a filtrate free from suspended solids; turbidity < 1 NTU
- a concentrate containing approximately 98% of suspended solids; turbidity > 1000 NTU
