Clarification of wine
Purpose
The aim of microfiltration is to replace all traditional clarification steps for raw wine (fining, decanting, kieselguhr filtration, plate filters and polymer membranes). The crossflow filtration system uses Inside Céram™.
Solution
During treatment, the product is split into two phases:
- a filtrate free from suspended solids; turbidity < 1 NTU
- a concentrate containing approximately 98% of suspended solids; turbidity > 1000 NTU.
