Isoflux™ improves the performance of existing separations and enables separations that were previously difficult or impossible to carry out.
The Isoflux™ membrane makes it possible to maintain a constant permeate flux at every point of the membrane without using a complex and expensive system. To achieve this, the thickness of the separation layer decreases from the membrane inlet to the membrane outlet, so that the ratio of pressure to layer thickness remains constant.
In contrast to conventional membranes, where the permeate flux decreases from the membrane inlet to the membrane outlet, the Isoflux™ membrane achieves a permeate flux that is uniform across every point of the membrane.
